The Childhood Friend
"THE CHILDHOOD FRIEND" (aka L' Amico D'Infanzia) is a film about a childhood friend who comes back for revenge. The story concerns Arnold Gardner played by Jason Robards III (They Live) who is the host of a popular tv show.  His childhood friend, Eddie Greenberg played by Joe Ryan (Home Alone),  is jealous of Arnold's success and wants to blackmail him over a "sin" which he committed in his younger days.  Eddie begins to murder people in order to force Arnold to admit a childhood secret on air.  Produced by Antonio Avati and Aurelio DeLaurentis and Directed by Pupi Avati.

This was another great experience working with Pupi Avati and Duea Film along with the same sound department (Chat Gunter and Raffaele DeLuca) as past  and future films. This is my personal favorite of Pupi's films that I worked on. It was more of a horror type film and getting the opportunity to spend every day on the set watching Pupi direct while I was working was priceless.  The story is really good and Jason Robards III and Joe Ryan were both excellent in the roles. Jason is the son of the famed actor Jason Robards and certainly resembles his father not only in looks but in acting skill.  I had fun working with Jason who by chance had been in a film (They Live) made by one of my favorite directors John Carpenter.

They wanted a nice car for a scene in the film where some reporters
rush from a house towards the actors getting out of car so my
parent's Cadillac was called into action.

Filming on location is never boring. Chat Gunter jokingly takes his
blood pressure by wrapping it around his neck during a break in
                              filming at a hospital.
