Rarely seen distributor letter sent to theaters urging them to pick
up Night Of The Living Dead for screenings. The last line of the
letter says it all "If you don't need money, DON'T book this picture."
Not seen in the scan are the attached pages consisting of critic
reviews.

Extremely rare letter from 1967 to Marilyn Eastman concerning "The Flesh Eaters"
which was the original title for Night Of the Living Dead." The gentleman was
responding to production photos that Marilyn Eastman sent him - You can tell by the
content of the letter he was unprepared for what he saw - "They are quite unusual
shots. You certainly portray an intensity that holds the observer." He goes on to say that
he is going to see someone from NY who is watching films and will "mention your film
The Flesh Eaters. It's a great title."
Replica of the original Night Of The Living Dead Press Kit made by John Russo.
Limited Edition of 100. This one is #19 of 100.

One of the pages inside the excellent replica press kit made by John Russo.
He included a copy of a rare letter he sent out with the original press kit.

John Russo indicated this was made from his press kit (the last one in existence). However I recently came across a individual who visited Latent Image in 1968 as a high school student and was given a press kit as a gift. So there's at least two left!
This is a rare scrapbook handmade by Karl Hardman and Marilyn Eastman. They made
only 30 of these and sold them all. Has sixteen 8x10 photos in the scrapbook, copies of newspaper clippings, NOTLD letters, hand written notes of memories to personalize the scrapbook by Hardman/Eastman, copies of script pages, and other rare insights into the making of Night Of The Living Dead. 43 pages (front and back adds up to 86 pages).
This particular scrapbook in my collection is #5 of 30.

The scrapbook also contains two pages of a copied contact sheet from Night Of The Living Dead with a handwritten note on the bottom of each page by Marilyn Eastman.
Two of the 8x10 photos in the scrapbook.

Another 8x10 photo and a copy of a script page with notations from Night Of The Living Dead.

The Scrapbook also has a copy of a original newspaper clipping where the film was banned from being shown in a library since it was thought to be "satanically inspired." On the right is another 8x10 photo of Marilyn Eastman joking around on the set.
Copies of original Night Of The Living Dead letters/production paperwork concerning the music cues used can be found in the scrapbook.
One of the more unusual items in my collection - Russ Streiner's glasses that he wore as "Johnny" in recent years. The original glasses he wore in the film were lost years ago.
The glasses seen above he would wear for appearances and photos. They were sold at a charity auction where I purchased them.
Close up of the glasses.
Russ Streiner's letter regarding the "Johnny glasses."
